SAVING HOMES
CHANGING LIVES

Make an investment in wildfire prevention and workforce training.

In 2020, Oregon suffered one of the worst wildfire seasons in the State’s history. Over 1.1 million acres burned. Residents, homes, and businesses across the State were threatened. Smoke choked our skies for months.

Working with unprecedented speed, the Oregon Legislature established the Oregon Conservation Corps to fund partner organizations throughout the state that employ young Oregonians to clear our land of the hazardous fuels that feed wildfires. This program is designed to create fire-adapted communities, while training the workforce of tomorrow.

Leverage a 5-to-1 Public-Private Partnership.

Today, the Oregon Conservation Corps needs your donations to carry out this important work. The Legislature earmarked $1,000,000 to match private donations. For every $1 donated in private funds from now until June 30, 2023, the State will invest $5 until the $1 million goal is reached. These State allocated funds are only available through matched donations.

It’s a Win-Win-Win.

Youth get workforce training. Property owners get their land cleared. Communities are safer. Show your support by unlocking $1 million of additional State funding that will help the Oregon Conservation Corps save homes and change lives.
