Saving Homes. Changing Lives.
Today, the Oregon Conservation Corps has launched a fundraising campaign to save homes and change lives in Oregon.
After the 2020 wildfire season, the Oregon Legislature established the Oregon Conservation Corps to fund partner organizations across the state that employ young Oregonians to clear our land of the hazardous fuels that feed wildfires. This program is designed to make communities safer, while training the workforce of tomorrow.
The State Legislature set aside $1,000,000 to match private donations. For every $1 donated in private funds by June 30, 2023, the State will invest $5 until the $1 million goal is reached.
